Research Assistant

Amany is a Summer research assistant at the Fund for Peace. She is an undergraduate student at the University of Rochester pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations (Peace & Conflict track) with minors in Economics and Spanish. At UR, she holds leadership positions in the Political Science & International Relations Council, and she received two research grants to pursue independent research in conflict resolution and peacebuilding mechanisms. One of Amany’s primary areas of interest is global peacebuilding, which motivated her to intern at the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy (ICRD). There, she worked with ICRD staff and the Maldivian government on developing a reintegration program for the returning Maldivian Foreign Terrorist Fighters into society.
